Happy SockPup!

HI,
Thought I would post a painting I did a couple of months ago for a friend's birthday. This sock pup in his fuzzy little sock was painted with acrylics on Oak wood. He seems happy in his sock, eventhough it's armless..hehee..

Currently working on a new painting project. I just bought a new stationary belt sander. Wohoo...i know, sounds funny I would be happy about wood tools but I love this thing. It really helps me sand the wood pieces just to the right feel and softness, thus saving my hands for the painting part. ;) This new piece or pieces involve 16 pieces of wood. hahahaa....that's all I have to say. Ciao!

Hi Dee!
Thank you for your kind words! I really love your stuff too. Your paintings were some of my favorites at the show, aside from master Steve L's! hahaha. I don't think we've met formally, but I'm one of the asian guys that's in the painting class on Monday nights :) I'll say hi next time!

Dee, that's terrific, just my bag. Great painting and always lovely to see artists exploring different mediums and surfaces to work on.

Hey, Dee! Too cute! I know what u mean about woodworking tools! I totally want a power chisel, and when I mention that to SOME people they look at me as if I just said I want to eat a puppy sandwich. Arg!
Have you ever seen Jenny Harada's work (http://www.jennyharada.com/)? She's an artist in the midwest...her stuff is really cute and whimsical. I think you'll like it too.
Take care!
-Kim (the short, butt-white chick what lives in b.f.e. with Warren) Yay!
