"I don't give a SQUID!"

So, I finally finished these paintings and I'm really happy how they turned out.
Let's see, this lineup is called "I Don't Give A Squid" and each one took me about
1 day to complete and then 1 day to varnish them all at once. They are all 5 1/2"x6 1/2"
each and are acrylic on hand cut, sanded and varnished Oak wood. I guess I just have
been on a squid kick lately and felt that I had to paint more. I had a lot of fun making these.
In fact, I did some color studies with crayon before I painted them. I was also able
to do a color study on my tablet PC(posted before), but just the red one. :)
I'm starting a new painting this week and I will post some sketches of it soon.
Thanks to everyone who views my site! I hope to soon set up a mailing list, but
in the meantime if you want to be on my updated blog email list, please email me at
yumnoodle at yahoo.com, and I will send you out an email when I update my Blog! Thanks!

Great designs Dee! I really like seeing them all together. You should do about 16 more of them to fill a wall. Thanks for the link!

great paintings. I'm really digging the stuff you did on sketchbook pro as well. Hard to replace pen and paper, but I don't regret NOT filling up my waste bin with millions of sketches. I think the world saved a few trees when those tablets appeared.

Also, thanks for stopping by my blog! Pleasure to meetcha.

Thanks everyone! I was really happy the way these turned out.
The Wipe- I usually find the wood or it's given to me. Sometimes, i head over to the hardware store for wood too.
Ryan- I was thinking of doing a whole bunch of them too. I just need to get more wood for it. It's on Oak, so kinda expensive. I'll keep an eye out though! I would love to see a sea of them. =)
Thanks again to everyone for your kind thoughts! I will put more up very soon!
